My name is Bella and I'm a Thai-American filmmaker who loves the human condition.
I find myself constantly absorbing life around me, especially as an editor. Along with experience, I believe practicing how to be more human is essential to becoming a better storyteller and artist. I love the magical and messy chaos of editing—as long as my files are organized and labelled of course.
As a kid, Barbie dolls were never really my thing. Rather, I spent most of my time building LEGOs, running, and observing. Playing with LEGOs taught me how to build something new out of the wrong pieces; running taught me how to thrive in a state of being comfortably uncomfortable; and observing taught me how to listen and find beauty in the invisible—but if you ask my mom, I was just antisocial.
When I'm not isolated in the cold, dark editing suite, I'm either cooking for my friends & family, cuddling with my dog, making music, or running around the streets of New York City—but let's be real, I'm almost always editing. One would assume I'd be tired of it after studying editing for four years at DePaul University, but instead, it's only inspired me to edit more.
